This is the "Singer's Edition or Melody Edition" Presented here is an excellent Catholic choir book compiled, edited, and arranged by Nicola A Montani, Knight Commander of the Order of St. Sylvester. From the title page- "This is a complete collection of approved english and latin hymns, liturgical Motets and appropriate devotional music for various seasons of the liturgical year. It is particularly adapted to the requirements of choirs, schools, academies, seminaries, sodalities, and Sunday schools." Originally published in 3 different editions, this one is the "Singers' Edition = Melody Edition", which is signified by "One line of music (two voices) (S.A. Or T.A) and the complete text conveniently arranged so that every syllable appears under the proper note." Published in the 20's and 40's, but perfectly suitable for use with the 1962 Roman Mass.
